The recent North Sea mobilisation of COSL’s 6th Generation harsh environment semi-submersible drilling unit – the COSL Innovator – marks an important milestone for AGR and AIS Survivex
Recruitment specialist, Advance Global Recruitment (AGR), was commissioned as sole supplier of personnel for the project and AIS Survivex its preferred training provider.
More than 100 skilled personnel were required in a wide variety of roles from Roustabouts to DPOs, EROs, Drillers and Toolpushers. Working closely with AGR, AIS Survivex helped to identify any skills gaps and quickly and effectively delivered the relevant OPITO-approved training to ensure compliance and competency.
Danielle Wood, Global Training and Compliance Manager at AGR, said:
“We have an excellent relationship with AIS Survivex and have used the company many times before for successful mobilisation projects. The location, wide ranging course portfolio and exceptional service at AIS Survivex is second to none so they were our first choice to deliver training for the COSL Innovator crew.
“This important project required a very flexible approach and the team at AIS Survivex was extremely helpful and responsive as ever – organising a variety of training at short-notice to work around COSL’s needs.
“We are now delighted to see the successful mobilisation of the COSL Innovator and would like to thank AIS Survivex for helping us deliver a talented, highly skilled, competent and compliant crew.
“Training and Competency Management is something that AGR plans to provide through its strong relationships with external training providers globally, as part of a brand-new division – AGR Training (AGRT). Training and Competency is a vital aspect in the control and regulation within the energy industry and therefore critical for our clients, which is why AGR Training is the logical next step for AGR’s growth.
“Having established AGRT, we have worked closely with Survivex, who are using a Training Management System and able to provide full internal support for bespoke staffing for each client.”
