3t and Seascope Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Drive Maritime Training Growth in Liverpool and Beyond

3t, a global leader in safety-critical training and learning technology, and Seascope Maritime Training, a specialist provider of STCW and GWO-accredited courses, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand maritime training opportunities across Liverpool and the wider UK maritime sector.

The strategic partnership brings together Seascope’s maritime expertise with 3t’s advanced training technologies and global experience, delivering industry-accredited programmes that equip seafarers and maritime professionals with the skills in demand by today’s employers. This collaboration supports the region’s ambition to become a national hub for maritime skills, innovation, and industry growth.

“We are delighted to formalise this new relationship with Seascope,” said Kevin Franklin, CEO of 3t. “Liverpool is a key growth area for the maritime industry, and this partnership allows us to bring our expanded capabilities and cutting-edge training solutions to more learners across the UK. Together, we’re strengthening the regional skills base and supporting long-term workforce development in the sector.”

The agreement builds on 3t’s ongoing investment in the North West of England, following the expansion of its Manchester facilities and training portfolio. It reflects the company’s commitment to developing a regional skills corridor that supports high-hazard industries through technology-enabled, safety-critical training.

“We are proud to partner with 3t through this MoU,” said Tom Hincks, Managing Director at Seascope. “3t’s reputation for innovation and excellence in training delivery complements our mission to provide accessible, high-quality maritime education. This partnership will enhance the breadth and quality of training available to our customers and the wider maritime workforce.”

Over the past year, 3t has significantly expanded its global footprint, investing in digital learning, simulation, and VR technologies to deliver high-impact training across maritime, energy, renewables, utilities, and construction sectors. Seascope continues to play a vital role in supporting safety and compliance through its accredited STCW and GWO programmes.

Together, 3t and Seascope will collaborate to deliver innovative, industry-aligned training that supports maritime workforce development in Liverpool and beyond, driving regional growth and contributing to the UK’s maritime future.
