As part of its commitment, 3t Training Services is actively investing in the future of skills delivery through targeted upgrades to its facilities and learning offer. Learners in the region can now benefit from an expanded portfolio of accredited programmes such as new technical training opportunities, including a dedicated E&I course and specialised Gas Pressure Management training facilities, enhancing the centre’s capabilities to meet emerging industry demands.

These initiatives represent just the beginning of a broader investment programme, with further facility improvements and technical course development already underway, improving access to upskill and reskill for the local talent, regardless of background.

In parallel, 3t has embarked on a phased upgrade of its classroom environments, improving the practical experience and supporting the delivery of modern, digital-first training.  By investing in local people and partnerships, the company is championing Manchester’s position as a true Northern Powerhouse for the energy sector and beyond.

Additionally, the company’s talented apprenticeship provision also continues to thrive, with tailored programmes across engineering, utilities, and construction that respond directly to industry’s evolving needs. From entry-level pathways to advanced technical roles, these apprenticeships support learners at every stage of their career journey. 3t is also proud to offer foundation apprenticeships, creating accessible first steps into industry and helping to secure a strong pipeline of UK skilled talent.

This next phase of growth is being driven by strengthened local leadership, with Michael Davies, who stepped in as General Manager of the centre and Dan Taylor appointed as Head of Net Zero. Both based at the Manchester office, Mike and Dan have brought a wealth of experience and a clear strategic focus to help shape the centre’s future. Together, they are leading efforts to build the next generation of skilled professionals ready to meet the UK’s most urgent workforce needs, particularly the transition to Net Zero.

The drive towards Net Zero is creating huge demand for new skills across the energy sector. With government incentives boosting investment in renewable energy solutions, the need for qualified professionals who can support a more sustainable future has never been greater. 3t’s dedicated Net Zero Training ensures that learners gain the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to succeed in this rapidly changing sector, from funded short courses to full apprenticeship pathways.

Working closely with local councils and businesses, 3t Training Services continues playing a vital role in strengthening Manchester’s workforce and supporting its ambitions as a hub for innovation and clean growth. By investing in people today, 3t is helping to build a skilled, adaptable workforce ready to deliver the energy solutions of tomorrow.
